So the end of the year finally draws near and after a good year of some fairly rad music and plenty of new favorites, the time has come for me to present to you my favorite releases of this year. I loved all these albums each in their own ways, all great work, but lists work out better in numerical order and ten is a good number to work with, so with out further ado:
10. Have One On Me || Joanna Newsom
sample* '81
I'm in love with her music (and her too), her work never disappointments me and Have One On Me delivers another beautiful soundtrack of creative and well crafted folk music that is sure to pull heartstrings.

9. Stoned Alone || Coma Cinima
sample* Blissed
Rich with soul and fitted with great variety but never straining to far from an easy going sound. A sweet experience with an atmosphere that feels warm and inviting.

8. Trash Mountain || Blastoids
sample* Who Nose
Spacey and layered with distant but really involved vocals, sprinkled with crafty random noise that just seems to belong, and always driven by jazzy well rounded rhythms, all this results in some kind of melodic emotional trippy synthesized dreamscape that feels very well done.
7. Love Remains || How To Dress Well
sample* Ready For The World
Somewhere between old dazed memories of old lovers and dream crafted r&b music, Love Remains creates a great vibe, laced with nostalgia and neatly rolled into a blissful package.

6. Party Trash || Party Trash
sample* Drive-By
A dense and mind numbingly good experience that resembles a long, way late at night, dark ride through the back of your mind's abyss, guided by some sonic manifestation of your egos "id". At times you'll find your self in brighter places with more uplifting vibes and with clearer reception. Party Trash is a dark and sweet taste of something that feels forbidden and rad.
5. The Wagner Logic || The Wagner Logic
sample* The Drugs and You
This album tells gloomy stories of heartbreak and remorse through some great layered vocal work that never feels to effects heavy, but just right. Delivering a melodic, and well made sound that feels almost ironically poppy at times, and through out the whole album your washed over by other vibes and emotions that always feel like they fit right in with the kaleidoscopic tenor of album.
4. Brothers Was Taken || Persona La Ave
sample* Dunes
A groovy ep loaded with jazzy rhythmic beats, alive and breathing with great raw electronic melody. Persona creates a beach vibe downtempo experience that's delightful to the ears that feels effortless to get into.
3. Flockaveli || Waka Flocka Flame

3. Flockaveli || Waka Flocka Flame
sample* BRICK SQUAD
There's nothing about this album I cant get into, Flockaveli is a brilliant hood fresh soundtrack where almost every track feels like your deep in some ghetto ass street type business. Flocka blasts you with bass heavy dark crunk beats, layered with simple but powerful synth lines, and then hits you with dense effects driven rhymes that are a bit murky but always land with a catchy delivery. Offering a multitude of icy party tracks that are a must have.
2. Causers of This || Toro Y Moi
sample* Minors
Chaz Bundicks first studio album brought together his great nostalgic sound into a well produced album that boasts a well layered atmosphere that boasts great beats, rich sampling, and great hooks that I found hard not to keep coming back to.
1. Carry On + Sweater Kids || Weed Diamond
sample* Carry On
I have found myself playing this album over and over again, more times then I really need to get into. The repetitive lo-fi drones and melodies of Weed Diamond, whether it be more psychedelic pop oriented or electronic sound driven, they always provide a sound that feels welcoming and easy to get into.
